Puppy Microchip Registration

Microchipping your puppy offers a secure and effective way to increase the chances of their safe return in case they ever get lost. This tiny device, no larger than a grain of rice, is implanted just under your pet’s skin and serves as a permanent form of identification, lasting their lifetime. Unlike collars or tags, which can break or become detached, microchips remain in place, providing a reliable way to help reunite lost pets with their owners.

However, simply implanting the microchip is only the first step. Registering the microchip with a national registry is crucial, as this ensures that your contact information is linked to the microchip’s unique ID number. This registration is what makes it possible for shelters, veterinarians, and animal control officers to contact you if your lost pet is found, greatly increasing the likelihood of your furry friend being returned to you safely.

All of our puppies go home with a microchip. This is a brand new, unregistered chip that you can register with the company of your choice. Your vet may have a suggestion for companies to use, or you may also want to use a company that many of our Partner Homes use: National Microchip Registry at nmr.pet

Your pup’s microchip number is located in your Adoption Day folder paperwork.
